.Just a brief description on the making of this website.
AutumnsList is not comprised of just one type of program or application. I didn't just grab any old program off the Internet shelf either. I took quite a long time looking for certain types of components and did a lot of research on different CMS's out there before I settled on what I use today. I won't get into all the technical stuff about that here, that will be covered later.
What I am saying is that this is a one of a kind website woven tightly together by me using many different types of programs to deliver to you what I hope is a great website with many Useful features, such as a really nice classifieds section. Now I could have just implemented a classified section and been done with it, but that wouldn't be good enough! I wanted one that updates your profile news stream when you posted a new ad, A classifieds that gave you great options and features that I would be proud to use myself! So I went out and did a ton of research and finally found one. It was not free, but I believe you will agree that it is worth it.
So as with the Classifieds components, I have also put a lot of time and thought (and sometimes money) into each and everything you see on here, so please enjoy.
Why am I doing this? Well, that's actually a multi part answer! I am going to number them here just to make it easier on the both of us.
- At first it was really just to see if I could make a cool looking website.
- I also wanted to make a website that had more useful stuff all located in one place, because I was tired of logging into many different sites to get what I wanted. There was not just one site that had everything or at least a lot of things that I liked.
- Another thing was to make some things customizable, like the background image for the profile page, but to also make it real simple to do. I don't think people should have to add all sort of html codes just to add a background to a page, who has time to figure all that out? The solution, let users select a photo from their computers, upload it and they are done, nice and simple

- Giving people privacy options for all their stuff they put on the website.
- Making those settings easy to find and easy to figure out.
- Showing people you don't need to fork over your private info just so you can join a website and share info with your friends.
- Treat people with the same respect that you give to the advertisers on the website. So many sites cater to their advertisers that they lose focus on everything else. The dollar sign must come second to the community!
On other websites I've joined groups or made one of my own and then couldn't figure out how to get back to that page! Or in order to find those pages again you are forced to use the sites search box or worse yet you have to use Google! To me that is just nonsense and won't happen here!
To recap all of this, I am now dedicated to making a site for everyone who is basically tired of dealing with all the privacy issues and other nonsense that a lot of websites make you deal with. You will also never have to worry about your information being sold or given away to advertisers or anyone else for that matter.
