SCAM: We will buy your car and send you money to ship it to us.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN: You will get a check with an amount worth 2-3 times the worth of your vehicle. They will tell you to just send whatever is left over (after the vehicle cost and shipping cost) back to them, usually through a company like Western Union or MoneyGram (money transfer services).
You will most likely be pushed to another person claiming to be the escrow service that will arrange the shipment of your vehicle to them. Sometimes this company is the one that sends you the check. They will usually give you a price for the shipping so you can minus that price plus your vehicle price off the check they sent you.
Now you will be rushed to send the remaining amount back to them, BEFORE the check you put in your account BOUNCES AND FREEZES YOUR BANK ACCOUNT FOR UP TO 2 WEEKS WHILE THE BANK INVESTIGATES YOU FOR FRAUD!
Note: Most of the people doing this Scam will claim to be overseas or away on business, etc, etc. In any circumstance, they cannot pick the vehicle up themselves. If you receive any type of email that resembles the scenerio above, IT IS A SCAM!
