This is one of the features I like a lot on this site. You don't need to enter any codes like myspace either, which is great cause i always messed that up!

Anyways to change your background image just go to your profile (you have to click on the "Profile" tab), then after you do that just "hover" over the profile tab again (without clicking on it) and you will see 2 new links in there. One is says "change background" and the other says "Change font color".

I recommend that you do the background first, then change the font color to suit the backgound

CHANGE BACKGROUND
Click on the "Change Background" link
Now you can choose from the menu to either use a gallery image (this is autumnslist's gallery) or upload your own image. You can also just use a color without a image, Do this by clicking on the little color wheel.

if you upload your own background make sure you hit the "upload" button. When you hit that button it will automatically upload it and you will see it right away

now once your done with your image click the save button, then go to the change font link and adjust your font color so people can actually read the words on your profile page! to do this just click on the little color wheel, find your color then click save settings.
oyea you can see your colors on your page as you pick them, just scroll down a little each time you pick a new color and you will see what i mean

I noticed that certain files won't upload, after messing around i think i figured out why. The file must have no spaces in the name, so it should look like this image_453.jpg or image453.jpg, not image 453.jpg

I just wanted to add that the smaller you make the image you use for your background, the faster your profile page will load. I found that large images over 1mb will be slow to load. I messed around a little bit and found that 50k images works great.
Just my 2 cents to help out.

Hey everyone, they changed this!
It's not in the profile tab anymore, you edit it by adding the app to your profile page and then use those links from the app on your profile page.
